L.L. Bean Inspired Rhode Island Farm Coast Wedding

Steph and Cooper came to me with my favorite kind of request—an unlikely mashup. The couple lives in Brooklyn but also has a home on Rhode Island’s farm coast, which is where their wedding was to take place. Inspired by a collaboration between L.L. Bean and New York fashion house Todd Snyder, they wanted to merge these urban and rural aesthetics. The brief was, essentially, “L.L. Bean but make it fashion.” We created a custom illustrated toile for the couple incorporating both New York and Rhode Island elements, and we did a custom illustrated map for their fold out save the dates. For the invitations, we used a variety of patterns and textures to evoke a down-to-earth playfulness while pairing it all with formal and elegant typography. The invitation card itself was letterpressed, topped with a wax seal, and backed with burnt orange suede paper. For the wedding day, Jubilee Paper designed coordinating menus, place cards, table numbers, a seating chart, and more. A really fun concept for a truly delightful couple!
