Whimsical and Personal Summer Camp Wedding

Once upon a time I designed invitations for a very special wedding—my own! My husband and I got married at the summer camp that I grew up going to as a kid, so the paper goods reflected the super personal nature of our venue as well as the laid back summer camp vibe. We dubbed our wedding weekend “Camp Wannamarryoo” and it was nothing short of magical. Campfires and s’mores, a talent show, perfect weather, and the wind rustling through the pine trees set the stage for our Best Day Ever. For the invitations, I added whimsy and texture with brush lettering and hand drawn illustrations. The invitation card was foil pressed onto navy blue paper and affixed inside a gate fold card. Everything was tucked into a navy inner envelope and a vellum outer envelope with vintage stamps and calligraphy by Miranda Reinhart. For the day of paper goods, guests pulled a custom illustrated map and schedule out of a mailbox when they pulled into camp. A custom enamel pin was attached to each map as a favor for guests to take home.
